Every wedding videographer has a unique style and approach to capturing and editing wedding photos & footage. While you may have specific preferences, it’s important to note that the final video style is subject to the footage obtained and the video editor’s artistic discretion.
Editing Limitations: Our editing process focuses on professional color correction, retouching, and enhancing the natural beauty of the footage. Requests for excessive alterations, such as significant body modifications (e.g., slimming, reshaping), are not included in our standard editing services.
Editing Style: The video editing style will be based on the creative vision and professional expertise of our team, incorporating cinematic techniques, color grading, pacing, and storytelling that align with industry standards. While we welcome client preferences, the final editing approach remains at the discretion of our team to ensure a cohesive and high-quality production
Revisions: One (1) round of minor revisions is included to address reasonable client feedback, such as small adjustments to pacing, transitions, or music selection (if applicable). Any additional revisions or major alterations beyond the initial request will be subject to additional fees.
Creative Control: While we value client input, excessive creative control, such as dictating every editing decision, frame-by-frame changes, or overriding professional judgment, may compromise the integrity of the final product. Clients are encouraged to trust our expertise for the best possible outcome.
All revision requests must be submitted within 10 days of receiving the initial edit. Any requests beyond this period may require additional charges or may not be accommodated.
Photographs taken during the course of the session/event will be at the diplomacy of the photographer although every effort will be made to comply with the client’s requirements.
The photographer shall be granted artistic license in relation to the poses photographed and the locations used. The photographer’s judgement regarding these matters shall be deemed correct.
When attending events the photographer shall endeavour to photograph all individuals as requested by the client(s) at some point, but no responsibility will be taken by the photographer on the occasion of leaving somebody out.
At certain venues, the photographer’s movements are sometimes restricted by the official in charge. The area from which the photographer is able to cover the event may not be the photographer’s choice and the photographer cannot accept responsibility for any obstructed view should this be the case.
On location of events due to a variety of uncontrolled lighting conditions and the limitations of digital sensors, some colours may alter throughout a set of photographs.
Our team is experienced in capturing the essential moments of your event, ensuring a well-balanced and professional final product. While we welcome client preferences and specific requests, excessive or last-minute demands for additional photos or videos during the event, especially in high-paced moments such as parties or key wedding ceremonies, may disrupt our workflow and affect the overall quality of coverage.
Our team will determine the appropriate level of coverage required for each moment, and any additional requests beyond the agreed scope may be subject to extra charges or may not be accommodated if they interfere with our planned workflow.
If drone coverage is requested or included, the Client must ensure that the venue or location allows drone flights. Any location-specific permits or fees for drone operations (such as permissions from property owners or local authorities) are the Client’s responsibility to obtain/pay, unless otherwise agreed in writing. The Client must inform Focus Photography in advance of any known flight restrictions (no-fly zones, proximity to airports, etc.) affecting the Event location. Focus Photography will comply with all local regulations (including any Civil Aviation Department rules) regarding drone flights and reserves the right to refuse or cease drone operation in restricted areas or if it deems conditions unsafe or unlawful for flying (without refund for that portion, if the inability to fly is due to venue/government restrictions outside of Focus Photography’s control).
Focus Photography owns the copyright to all footage created during the wedding. The client will receive a copy of the edited footage, but the videographer retains the right to use the footage for their own marketing purposes.
You may request to Focus Photography other additional services such as pre-wedding shoots, extended coverage, or raw footage. These services occur additional charges. We will provide a clear breakdown of these services and their associated costs.
In the unfortunate event of a dispute between you and the wedding videography service, it’s important to understand the process for resolving such issues.
Specific Requests for Video Changes.
If you would like to make changes to your video, you must be specific about what you want changed. For example, you cannot simply say “I don’t like the clip.” You must specify which section of the clip you want removed or changed.
Changes the Background Music.
Changes to the background music in videos are not accepted. The background music is a fundamental part of the video’s structure. If you have any requests for the background music, you must let Focus Photography know in advance. If no notification or request then we may have the right to choose the background music for you.
The client acknowledges that Focus Photography will make every reasonable effort to provide the agreed-upon services on the scheduled date. However, Focus Photography shall not be held responsible for circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to:
Lack of coordination or communication with the DJ, band, or other vendors, which may result in missed opportunities for key moments (e.g., first dance, cake cutting). The client agrees to inform all vendors of Focus Photography’s presence and ensure cooperation between parties.
Disruptions caused by guests, including but not limited to uncooperative behavior, blocking of views, use of flash photography or mobile phones that interfere with professional shots, or any actions that hinder Focus Photography’s ability to capture moments effectively.
Client Responsibilities:
The client agrees to provide accurate and timely/planning information regarding the event schedule, venue details, and any special requests. This includes ensuring adequate lighting arrangements (if necessary), coordinating with vendors, and informing guests about photography protocols (e.g., restricting flash photography during key moments). Failure to do so may impact the quality or delivery of the services, and Focus Photography shall not be held liable for such outcomes.
Clients shall tender the exact amount for the final payment, if paying in cash with the photographer or videographer.
Any specific shots or inspirations must be communicated and finalized before the scheduled shooting day. Clients are required to provide reference images or a detailed shot list in advance to ensure alignment with their expectations.
Accessories & Details: Clients must ensure that all necessary accessories—such as rings, flowers, shoes, perfume, jewelry, ties, and other essential items—are readily available before the arrival of the photo and video team. This ensures a smooth workflow and allows for proper documentation of important details
Decor Setup: All event decorations must be completed in advance to provide the photography and videography team with adequate time to capture high-quality content. Last-minute setup delays may impact the ability to document the décor effectively and are the sole responsibility of the client.
Failure to comply with these preparations may result in missed shots, for which the team will not be held accountable.
The team will store project files for up to 6 months after delivery. After this period, any re-editing or retrieval requests may not be possible. Clients are advised to download and back up all final files upon receipt.
Clients are required to finalize their selection of photos within a maximum period of two (2) weeks from the date of receiving the proof gallery. It is the client’s responsibility to complete the selection within this timeframe to ensure timely processing and delivery.
Failure to make a selection within the specified period may result in processing delays. The company reserves the right to either proceed with the final selection at its discretion or impose additional charges for late submissions due to extended storage requirements.
